Founded by the Plomer family c.1700. Acquired by Christie & Cathrow 1803 with 7 public houses. Registered 1903.
Acquired by the Cannon Brewery Co. Ltd. of London 1927 with 159 tied houses.
The brewery contents were sold by auction 30th May 1928.
Part was demolished except for the offices which became flats and shops.
