A former [[Home Brewery Co. Ltd]] house, with a fine faience frontage.
Thought to have been acquired by the Basford brewer [[Hutchinson & Sons Ltd]] in 1884 (source: CAMRA), it came into the ownership of [[Home Brewery Co. Ltd]] in about 1914. The pub was rebuilt in 1922-1923 to the design of W B Starr & Hall, and retains a fine faience frontage.
