The Castle Gresley premises

Beard, Hill & Co. Ltd, Lichfield Street, Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire.

Hill and Sharratt partnership founded before 1750 at the Abbey Street brewery. Charles Hill & Son brewery built on Lichfield Street west c.1830, taken over by Beard Brothers of Castle Gresley and registered as above 7th January 1893.

Acquired by Marston, Thompson & Evershed Ltd.

Brewery closed in 1900 and buildings used by the General Forage & Grain Drying Co. before demolition in the late 1960s.
