Barker & Sons, Bishopsgate Brewery, Widegate Street, City of London, Greater London.

George Barker started in business 1863 and his sons joined in partnership in 1879.

The brewery was established and built in 1888 at a cost of £20,000 on land owned by the family. It supplied 11 pubs and they also owned a distillery and wine & spirit business.

In 1891 traded as William Barker & Son, Bishopgate without City, but bankrupt 25th June 1892.

Trustees awarded £8,000 compensation against the Commissioners of Sewers, as the portion of their property required would render it impossible to carry on.
