Frederick Ward, Lion Brewery, 7 Northgate, Sleaford, Lincolnshire
In March 1912, a local barley farmer rebuilt a disused brewery by a new 60-barrel brewhouse at the rear of the Lion. He died 1917 and in 1919 bought by Martha Laming, tenant of the hotel. Plant sold 19th March 1920.
The Lion Hotel became a Home Brewery Co. Ltd pub.
Information from Tony Pygott: The Lion brewery building is still standing although is probably to be converted to flats. The Lion Hotel was an old coaching inn and is now a Wetherspoon pub called the Packhorse. The brewery building sits behind it and is accessible down a side alley.
