St Austell Brewery Co. Ltd, Trevarthian Road, St Austell, Cornwall.
Formed by a merger of Walter Hicks & Co. Ltd and Christopher Ellis & Son Ltd of Hayle 1934.
Walter Hicks was founded as a wine merchant and maltster in 1851 and began brewing in 1863 at the Seven Stars Inn, East Hill, St Austell.
In 1867, he purchased the Freehold of the London Inn, where he established a modern steam brewery. This building still stands as Tregonissey House.
The new site at Trevarthian Road was leased and brewery was built in 1893.
Still brewing with 150 public houses.
Bath Ales Ltd brewery and its tied estate were acquired by St Austell Brewery in 2016.
