Verrall & Sons, Southover Brewery, Southover High Street, Lewes, East Sussex
Founded in mid 18th Century by William Verrall.
The brewery and 35 public houses sold to Page & Overton's Brewery Ltd in 1897. The brewery was demolished 1905, but several buildings survive, including the Manor House (the family home), the brewer's house, and the former malthouse, converted to housing.
An Ordnance Survey extract from 1898. Ballard's Brewery on the left; Verrall's on the right. "Reproduced with the permission of the National Library of Scotland" http://maps.nls.uk/index.html.
