Frederick Welsh Ltd, Hyde Abbey Brewery, 31 Hyde Street, Winchester, Hampshire.
Originally under the name of Hugh Wyeth & Co, who were acquired by Strong & Co Ltd. in 1895 with 5 houses.
Strongs sold the brewery to Welsh who moved from the St Thomas Brewery.
Registered as above May 1895 with 21 tied houses.
Wound up 10th July 1899 and was re-registered as Welsh & Co. Ltd.
Acquired by William Cooper & Co. Ltd. of Southampton 1929.
Some buildings remain.
