Founded by 1726 when owned by John Atfield. Acquired by [[William Farnell 1800.

Registered 1886 to acquire Farnell & Watson. Voluntary liquidation November 1923 and was acquired by [[Watney, Combe, Reid & Co. Ltd]]. 1924. Brewing ceased 1952 and later used as a bottling store.
