Founded 1727 and owned by the Isherwood family until 1786, when acquired by James Baverstock and Richard Ramsbottom. Bought by Nevile Reid of Meux's Brewery Co. Ltd in about 1837. Registered 1915. Nevile, Reid and Co were also bankers in Windsor, their business being acquired by Barclays in 1914.
