Registered March 1920.  
John Kenyon acquired Hartley and Bell’s Clough Springs Brewery, with 6 houses in 1888.  


Originally brewed at 179 Spa Road, Bolton, before moving to Kenyon's former brewery. Clough Springs Brewery closed after 1928 and became a corn mill. Reopened as above in 1951 but ceased trading 1960 and the trade was acquired by the [[Yorkshire Clubs Brewery]].  
Closed after take-over by [[Massey's Burnley Brewery Ltd]] in 1928 and became a corn mill.  


[[Gibbs, Mew & Co. Ltd]]. of Salisbury, Wilts bought the brewery in 1962 to produce keg beer for Northern clubs.  
Reopened as above in 1951 (see Bolton) with capacity of 500bpw but ceased 1960 and the trade was acquired by the [[Yorkshire Clubs Brewery Ltd]].  


Brewing ceased after two years for economic reasons. By 1978 was Hammond's Malt Vinegar Brewery.
In June 1960, [[Gibbs Mew & Co. Ltd]] of Salisbury bought the brewery to produce keg beer for Northern clubs. This was in partnership with the [[Walsall & District Clubs Brewery Ltd]], but that deal fell through, and the Walsall brewery was sold to Charringtons.
 
Brewing ceased after another two years.  
 
By 1978 was Hammond’s Malt Vinegar Brewery.
