In 1900, the original Windsor Castle Brewery was established by John Sadler (see also Oldbury).

Brewing stopped in 1927. In 2004, John Alexander commenced brewing Sadler's ales once again at the Windsor Castle Brewery.

In November 2019, following the demise of Sadlers, brewing recommenced at the Windsor Castle as [[Printworks Brewery]].

In 2004, John Alexander commenced brewing Sadler's ales once again at the Windsor Castle Public House in Lye. In 2013 formed a joint venture with Craddocks. An enlarged brewery was opened nearby in 2015: Sadlers Ales.

In November 2019, following the demise of Sadlers, brewing recommenced at the Windsor Castle as Printworks Brewery.
