The site is a recreation of a Victorian tower brewery in the old locomotive weighing house of the old Swindon Locomotive Works. It was purchased by pub owning group Burns Leisure in 1999 and for a period in 2000 took on the brewing of the group owned Tom Hoskins beers.
Following the collapse of the group the original owner took control once more. The brewery closed in March 2009, but it is understood
that the brands were purchased by Evan Evans and that brewing may restart on a new site in the area.
