Acquired by H.& G.[[Simonds Ltd]]. of Reading 1938 with 27 tied houses but brewing had ceased before this date. Rogers of Bristol had been providing the bulk of supplies since the 1920s. The rugby club plays at Brewery Field, next to the site of the old depot.
