Tollemache & Cobbold Breweries Ltd (Tolly Cobbold), Cliff Brewery, Cliff Road, Ipswich, Suffolk.
Created with the merged of Cobbold & Co. Ltd and Tollemache Breweries Ltd. in 1957 to form Tollemache & Cobbold Breweries Ltd., aka Tolly Cobbold, owning 370 tied houses.
Acquired by Ellerman Shipping Lines 1977 which then was acquired by Barclay Brothers 1983 and then sold to the Brent Walker Group - a property and leisure group owned by former boxers George and Billy Walker - in January 1989.
Brewing ceased 1989. The brewery then re-opened after a management buy-out, but closed in 2003 when bought by Ridley & Sons Ltd.
