Arthur Hughes recorded here between 1868 to 1875.

In May 1878, Richard Jones had been in liquidation with the brewery, malting and New Inn at Gledrid.

William Jones (1880); Henry George Jones (1910).

Later owned by Edwards & Son of Weston Rhyn; then Wolverhampton & Dudley Breweries Ltd.

The New Inn still trades today as the 'Poachers', and old outbuildings survive.
