In 1884 Herbert William and Arthur George Spreckley acquired Stallards with 7 tied houses.

Registered June 1897 to acquire Spreckley Brothers and George Joseland & Sons, with 57 public houses.

Acquired by Cheltenham & Hereford Breweries Ltd. 1958 with 67 or 68 tied houses. Brewing ceased 1960 and was liquidated in the same year. Some of the maltings remain as housing.
