Red Cow, 140 Belgrave Gate, Leicester, Leicestershire

This Victorian pub with a grand exterior was probably rebuilt around 1900. Above the corner door there is a decorative roundel with monogram ‘JT’. This probably refers to Joseph Taylor, who was landlord at the time.

It became a Bass, Ratcliff & Gretton Ltd house. Converted to flats in about 2000, but a Bass lantern survives over the side entrance.
