Hope & Anchor, Wanlip Road, Syston, Leicestershire LE7 1PD

On 15th October 1899, Percy Barradale moved to the Hope and Anchor on Wanlip Road. According to an article in the Leicester Mercury, based on a letter from his grandson, he employed a Billy Baum to help with the brewing. He was at the Hope & Anchor until 1st June 1901.

The pub was later run by Grand Metropolitan (Watney's), then Greene King as a 'Hungry Horse'. It is a popular canalside destination.
