Founded 1669 and was acquired by William Jackson and John Proctor in 1811. Registered in 1923.
Acquired by Daniel Thwaites & Co. Ltd in 1984 with 40 houses and brewing ceased. The Old Brewery was then sold to Mitchells of Lancaster, who brewed there until 1999.
