Magee, Marshall & Co. Ltd, Crown Brewery, Cricket Street, Bolton, Greater Manchester.
Founded by David Magee 1853. Crown Brewery built about 1866.
Acquired David Marshall & Co, Grapes Brewery, Brown Street and Horse Shoe Brewery, Water Street 1885. Registered March 1888.
Acquired by Greenall Whitley & Co. Ltd in 1959 with over 180 houses. Brewing ceased 30th September 1970.
The brewery features in The Noted Breweries of Great Britain and Ireland by Alfred Barnard published 1890.
