The brewery tap

Rayment & Co. Ltd, Pelham Brewery, Barleycroft End, Furneux Pelham, Hertfordshire.

William Rayment brewed and farmed at Furneux Pelham from the 1820s. New brewery built 1860. Private company registered 1912. with 36 public houses.

Acquired privately by King & Lake, partners in Greene King, December 1888 and was run separately until officially merged with Greene King & Sons Ltd in 1931.

Brewery closed 9th October 1987 and site redeveloped.
