Merged with Edmund Parfitt, Atlas Brewery, Newbury, and registered 1897 as Hawkins & Parfitt to form South Berkshire Brewery Co. Ltd.

The West Mills Brewery closed in 1920 following acquisition by by Simonds Ltd.


The Nags Head, 90 Bartholomew Street, Newbury

The Nags Head is a former Hawkins pub, and a historic image shows brewery lettering on the pub sign. At some time, the lettering was chipped off. However, by 2014, the owner had added painted lettering of the historic content.
