The White Horse dated back to the mid 1700s and from 1765 to 1788 was run by the Ludlams. They were followed by John Spence, who was the victualler until around 1830. In 1835 John French was a farmer and running the pub, which was run by Mrs Lucy Ann French in 1855, until around 1859. The 1860s saw three victuallers succeed one another at the pub as follows:- Peter Waite, George Sturgess and William Derby.

James Batten had taken over by 1870, but by 1877 Edward Reay had taken the pub and was listed as the brewer. Thomas Walton was shown as the victualler in 1884, but there was no mention of brewing and that year it was bought by Langmore & Bankart.

Hence, in 1901, it was an [[All Saints Brewery Co. (Leicester) Ltd]] house, when they spent £590 on alterations.

It was still trading in 1940, when it was valued at £10,000.

It was demolished in 1973 and replaced by a new pub of the same name.
