William Slaughter recorded brewing at Ann Street in 1849, 1860 and 1866, and retailing at the Warwick Arms, Warwick Street.

In 1878 John Slaughter at pub and brewer Ann Street and 11 Warwick Street, died by 1888 when his widow died. 1890 sale of 27 Ann Street and 3 Warwick Place under his will.

The Warwick is still trading as a Greene King pub with frontages to both Warwick Street and Ann Street.
