McMullen & Sons Ltd, Hertford Brewery, Hartham Lane, Hertford, Hertfordshire.

Founded 1827 at Railway Street by Peter McMullen. Moved to Mill Bridge 1832 and Hartham Lane brewery built 1891. Registered March 1897 with 90 public houses.

Still brewing independently but a smaller modern brewery has now replaced the Victorian one. The 'Whole Hop Brewery' opened in 2004, and the 1891 brewery site was sold for development, including a Sainsbury's supermarket incorporating a brewery museum.

McMullen & Sons Ltd, Cannon Brewery, Princes Street, Ware, Hertfordshire.

Brewing at this location by 1871 but ceased when their Hertford brewery was ready in 1891.
