Derwent Brewery, Derwent Mill Trading Estate, Cockermouth, Cumbria.

The brewery was established in 1997 by Hans Kruger and Frank Smith. From Cockermouth, the brewery moved to Silloth.

Brewing commenced 1997 following move. 'Carlisle State Bitter' was derived from the original recipe.
