Coombe Valley Brewery Co. Ltd, Grist Mill, Wotton under Edge, Gloucestershire

In 1889 owned by Arthur Hart Guinness of the famous Irish brewing family, run by his son Arthur Percy Guinness. Arthur Snr died in 1901 and by 1905 the brewery was owned by Major A J Annesley but in 1908 a receiver was appointed. Became Dawn of Day Brewery Co Ltd of Sidney Underhill until 1914 then used for mineral waters.

The 1912 sales document includes the following freehold tied houses:

  1. Ram Inn, Wotton under Edge
  2. Royal Oak, Wotton under Edge
  3. White Hart, Coombe
  4. New Inn, Waterley Bottom
  5. True Heart, Frampton on Severn (beer house)
