Before it was acquired by Sibeth, it was occupied by the Flowers family, an important brewing dynasty.

Ceased brewing 14th December 1904 and was sold with 21 public houses for £25,410, the houses being sold piecemeal to a total of 8 local brewers including [[Hall & Woodhouse Ltd]], [[Baxter & Sons (Dorset)]] and [[Marston's Dolphin Brewery Ltd]].

Still standing, last used as a pottery.
