An advert from 1880

Youngman & Preston, Eagle Brewery, Rant Score, Lowestoft, Suffolk.

Founded by 1844.

Acquired by Lacon & Co. Ltd. 1919 and brewing had ceased by 1922.

Premises resold to Charrington & Co. Ltd. and were acquired c.1960 by Birdseye Foods.

The brewery was demolished and a statuette of the brewery trademark, an Eagle, was retained and stands above the entrance to the premises.
