In the afternoon, an urban walk to visit the recently excavated St James Brewery site; then Hyde Abbey, Winnal and Marston's brewery sites; finishing via two local Micro Breweries - Red Cat and Alfred's. Finishing at 6.00pm.

We continue our Hampshire expedition by visiting Molson-Coors brewery at Lower Turk Street, Alton (GU34 2PS), led by Mark Dobnor, Brewing Manager. Some brewery history (1963), brewery tour and a beer tasting.


Winnal brewery sites - via  2 local Micro Breweries The Red Cat Brewery and Alfred's Brewery
12.30pm: Depart for Railway Arms, 26 Anstey Road, Alton (GU34 2RB), Brewery tap for the Triple F Brewery. Graham Trott is the owner. Talk and exhibition by BHS member Geof Dye, while enjoying a beer and a ploughmans lunch.

In the afternoon, a walk led by Jane Hurst and Sue Bell using the 1666 Alton map to visit old malting and brewery sites (Fielders, Mr Butlers, etc); finishing at the Allen Gallery for a short talk on Baverstock brewery.

At 4.30pm, we depart for Andwell Brewery, North Wanborough (RG27 1HA) (http://www.andwells.com) for a visit at 5pm, led by Adam Komrower, finishing at approximately 6pm.
