William Wickham is recorded at both the Star Brewery and the High Street Brewery in 1877. Wickham sold business and houses in 1900 to [[Holts Marine Brewery]] who put the Star Brewery and 8 houses up for sale in 1912.

Founded by Caleb Hitch in 1862. Leased to Isaac Everitt in 1872 and bought by McMullen & Sons Ltd in November 1874.
