William Wickham, Star Brewery, Watton Road, Ware, Hertfordshire.
Founded by Caleb Hitch in 1862. Leased to Isaac Everitt in 1872 and bought by McMullen & Sons Ltd in November 1874.
William Wickham is recorded at both the Star Brewery and the High Street Brewery in 1877. Wickham sold business and houses in 1900 to Holt & Co, Marine Brewery, London who put the Star Brewery and 8 houses up for sale in 1912.
Brewery still standing and being used as a builders' merchants. Date on foundation stone confirms 1862.
