An advert from 1875

William Alexander Todd, Crown Brewery, 94 Walmgate, York, North Yorkshire.

Said to have been founded in 1828, and was acquired by Todd in 1872.

Ceased brewing c.1895, and thereafter operated as a wine and spirit merchant, and agent for Bentley's of Woodlesford, who purchased the business in 1933 from Todd's son.
