William McEwan & Co. Ltd, Fountain Brewery, 190 Fountainbridge, Edinburgh, Lothian.

Founded in 1856. Registered July 1889.

Merged with William Younger & Co. Ltd in 1931 to form Scottish Brewers Ltd.

New brewery built 1973/4.

Closed 2005 and beers were initially brewed by Caledonian Brewery Co. Ltd.
