Joseph Dalzell's Parton & Harrington Breweries Ltd, Tower Brewery, Duke Street , Whitehaven , Cumbria .

Registered March 1892. The Parton brewery was sold to the Maryport Brewery Ltd. 1905 with 74 public houses. Merged with Jennings Brothers of Cockermouth 1906 but was still operated as a separate concern, the profits being divided each year.

This arrangement ended in September 1923 after a dispute over the accounts. William Jackson Armstrong bankrupt in 1932 and Tower Brewery with 22 houses put up for sale but only 3 houses were sold. Harrington Brewery was acquired by Matthew Brown & Co. Ltd. 1925 with 75 tied houses and is now a garage.
