Welch Ale Brewery Ltd, 561 Old Kent Road London SE1, Greater London.

Established c.1836 by Benjamin Smith as the Crown Brewery. Listed as Christopher Liddell “Welsh” Ale Brewery 1871-1876, then Liddell & Co 1877-1898 but directories also show A & T Carmichael Welch Ale Brewery between 1877-1884 as they were leasing the site from Liddell’s executors.

Registered 1898 to acquire the business of Liddell & Co.
