Walkin's father Charles Reed was listed as a common brewer in Addlethorpe in the 1861 Census. Walkin and his mother Eliza were both listed as brewers in Addlethorpe in 1871.

Hogsthorpe
He moved to "The Brewery", Ingoldmells, which is shown on the 1888 OS Map. Here he was selling a 2qtr plant and off-licence near the Ship Inn on 29th September 1892.

By 1898, he had moved to Hogsthorpe, where he lived at Thames Street. The 1911 Census still lists him, aged 66, as a brewer.


Brewery was recorded in 1895.
In 1881 brewing adjacent the Ship Inn, Sea Lane, then here by 1891.
On 29th September 1892 sellinq a 2qtr plant and off-licencee, then by 1901 Thomas Street, Hogsthorpe.

Walkin's father Charles Reed was listed as a common brewer in Addlethorpe in the 1861 Census. Walkin and his mother Eliza were both listed as brewers in Addlethorpe in 1871. Walkin was still listed there "employing one man" in 1881.
