Acquired by W B Thomson of Perth in 1897 and a new brewery built.  
W B Thomson of Perth acquired [[William Eadie (Blackford)|William Eadie]]'s inn and former brewery in 1895. He commissioned a new brewery and maltings on land at the rear, opened in 1897. Registered in 1898 as W B Thomson Ltd but acquired by J A Davidson of [[Coldstream Brewery Co. Ltd]] in 1916.


Registered in 1898 but acquired by Davidsons of Coldstream in 1916. Possibly the oldest brewery in Scotland reputed to date from 1488.
The Blackford Hotel still stands on Moray Street, with Thomson's former maltings behind.

W B Thomson Ltd, Moray Street, Blackford, Perth and Kinross

W B Thomson of Perth acquired William Eadie's inn and former brewery in 1895. He commissioned a new brewery and maltings on land at the rear, opened in 1897. Registered in 1898 as W B Thomson Ltd but acquired by J A Davidson of Coldstream Brewery Co. Ltd in 1916.

The Blackford Hotel still stands on Moray Street, with Thomson's former maltings behind.
