A small pub and brewery which was built by Joseph Lakin in 1859. Acquired by James Billingham in 1912.

James's son Horace James and his grandson Eric owned the pub until 1992, but the brewery was closed in 1963.

[[Daniel Batham & Son Ltd]] acquired the pub in 1992, and it is still a Batham's house.
