Tomson & Wotton Ltd, Queen Street, Ramsgate, Kent.

Founded 1634. In 1635 Robert Sampson sold malthouse, brewhouse etc. Acquired by Thomas Tomson 1680 who was listed as farmer in 1717.

In 1854 Thomas Wotton started as an operative brewer becoming a partner in 1867.

Private company registered 1892. Merged with Gardner & Co. Ltd. 1951 to form Combined Breweries (Holdings) Ltd, controlling 102 tied houses.

Acquired by Whitbread & Co. Ltd. June 1968 and was closed October 1968.
