Three Tuns, 6 King Street, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire

This building, now used as a shop, has historical style lettering 'THREE TUNS' on the frontage. At high level is a plaque 'WAH 1898'. Mike Brown in 'Tiger Tales and Ales' records a W A Heap brewing "botanical beers" in King Street in the 1890s. Mr Heap apparently also supplied "fine wines and clarets to the nobility".

In about 1899, the pub was acquired by Midland Brewery Co. Ltd of Loughborough.
