Home-brew house founded by landlord Danny Thompson and son Melvyn in June 1981. Promoted as Aysheburton Ales.

In 1987, they acquired their second pub: the Mutton Cove Tavern, James Street, Devonport (formerly the New Pier Inn).

Ceased brewing 1997 following a fire at the London Inn.
