Founded c.1820.  
Founded c1820 as maltsters and in 1854 Thomas Witchell was letting the Talbot, with brewhouse. That year Isaac and Henry Witchell dissolved their partnership as brewers etc.  


Acquired by [[Warn & Sons Ltd]]. 1903.  
There was intermarriage with the Warn family.  


The brewery is still standing, converted into flats.
In 1903 the two neighbouring breweries amalgamated. See [[Warn & Sons Ltd]].
 
Brewery demolished 1987. Now flats.
