Templar Hotel, 2 Templar Street, Leeds, West Yorkshire LS2 7NU

A pub with brewhouse, formerly occupied by McCarmick & Co.

Acquired by Leeds & Wakefield Breweries Ltd (Melbourne Brewery (Leeds) Ltd) in 1927 and subsequently much rebuilt. The ground floor fascia tiling (by Burmantofts) and leaded windows incorporating the brewery's logo survive.

The Templar Hotel, including its brewhouse, was listed (grade 2) in November 2019. Here is the link to the List entry:

The List description says this about the former brewhouse:

"6 Templar Street is believed to have also been constructed in the early C19 and although it is not known if this was its original function, it was a brewhouse for the pub until the late C19/early C20, after which time it became a store. It has also been suggested that the brewhouse may have operated as a communal brewhouse for a number of pubs, including the nearby Devonshire Arms on Templar Street (now demolished), but this is unconfirmed."
