Sun Brewery, Fry's Yard, Bridge Street - built 1883 by Thomas Baverstock.

Baverstock moved across the street from the original Sun Brewery, calling his new brewery 'The Sun Brewery'.

As a result, the original Sun Brewery became known as 'The Old Established Sun Brewery'.

Brewing ceased here in January 1895, when the brewery suffered a serious fire.

The building was later reroofed and refloored by local builder, David Fry, and used as a sawmill.

The distorted iron window frames still show the effects of the fire (John Janaway 'Godalming & Farncombe Pubs and Breweries', Ammonite Books 2003, pp.99-102).
