Smith & Sons Ltd of Thrupp were acquired in 1919.
Duck & Co of Malmesbury was acquired in 1920 with 22 public houses.
William Stephen Butler (Avebury) was acquired in 1920 with 11 houses.
Godsell & Sons Ltd of Stroud were acquired in 1928.
Alton Court Brewery Co. Ltd of Ross-on-Wye in 1956.
In 1957, jointly with Usher's of Trowbridge, they acquired Frome & Lamb Ltd with 300 pubs.
