Founded 1730. Registered as Charles Hammerton & Co. Ltd 1902. Registered as above on 25th February 1937.

Acquired by Watney, Combe, Reid & Co. Ltd. May 1951. Brewing ceased before 1964 and the brewery has been demolished.
