Star Brewery (Cambridge) Ltd, 13 Newmarket Road, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire.

Founded c.1822 by James P.Twiss.

Bought by Frederick Bailey 1859 and registered as Frederick Bailey & Co. Ltd 1884 and sold to Charles Armstrong April 1889.

Registered as above 18th November 1891 to acquire the Star Brewery and the adjacent Priory Brewery with 106 public houses.

Acquired by Tollemache Breweries Ltd. 1934 with 119 tied houses.

Brewing ceased 1972 and was demolished 1981/82.
