Sprake Brothers, Star Brewery, Chale, Isle of Wight

Founded by Robert Sprake 1833.

Acquired by Brickwoods Ltd in 1928 with 6 tied houses.

Ceased brewing in April 1934. The brewery became a Brickwood's pub, the Star Inn, but this closed in about the 1980s.
